Tata to invest ₹15,000 crores in EV segment in next 5 years

  • According to the news report, Tata Motors is planning to invest ₹15,000 crores in its electric vehicle (EV) in the next 5 years. the company is also planning to develop 10 new electric vehicles for the customers.

  • "As far as future is concerned, in next five (years) we will invest ₹15,000 crore in electrification. We are going to work on nearly 10 products with different kinds of body styles, price, driving range options," President for Passenger Vehicles Business of Tata Motors Shailesh Chandra said.

  • The company has raised $1 billion in funding from private equity group TPG in its EV arm.
