Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday launched the Indian Space Association (ISpA). ISpA is an industrial body representing the various stakeholders in the Indian space domain.
The body has members from different organisations, comprising the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), Bharti Airtel, OneWeb, Tata Group’s Nelco, L&T, MapMyIndia among others.
The association is a private industry body with an aim to boost space technology in the country. It will work with the government body, ISRO, on the aspect of policy regarding space technology and domain. It will focus on capacity building and space economic hubs and incubators in India.
