PM Modi to launch 5G testbed on May 17

• On Tuesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will launch a 5G testbed that will help companies and startups in India to validate products, prototypes, and solutions in the 5G technology and the upcoming ones.

• 17th May 2022 marks the silver jubilee of the Telecom regular Authority of India (TRAI).

• PM Modi will address the meeting virtually.

• The testbed is jointly developed by eight institutes- IIT Madras, IIT Delhi, IIT Hyderabad, IIT Bombay, IIT Kanpur, IISc Bangalore, Society for Applied Microwave Electronics Engineering & Research (SAMEER), and Centre of Excellence in Wireless Technology (CEWiT).
