Govt. to amend banking laws for privatisation of PSBs

• In the winter session of parliament starting on Monday, the government is planning to introduce the Banking Laws (Amendment) Bill, 2021.

• The bill will amend the banking laws to facilitate the privatization of public sector banks (PSBs).

• According to the sources, the government wants to decrease its holding in PSBs from 51% to 26%.
