Govt. Relaxes Claim Criteria Under ABVKY For Claimants

• The government has relaxed the criteria for claiming the unemployment claim under the Atal Beemit Vyakti Kalyan Yojna.

• They have relaxed the restrictions thereby allowing more people to avail the benefits of the scheme.

• This scheme gives relief to the people who were unemployed during the COVID-19 pandemic.

• “While analysing the response of the beneficiaries to the scheme under relaxed conditions, it was found that the condition of submitting the claim in affidavit form is causing inconvenience to the claimants,” the Employees’ State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) said.

• “Considering the difficulties faced by the beneficiaries, it has now been decided that the claimant who has submitted the claim under Atal Beemit Vyakti Kalyan Yojana online and uploaded the scanned copies of the required documents need not submit the physical form,” ESIC said in a statement on Sunday.

• The relaxed conditions are valid till 31st December 2020.
