Govt. paid ₹164.50 crores to Infosys for new IT portal

• On Monday, the Minister of State for Finance Pankaj Chaudhary informed via written reply in the Lok Sabha that the Government of India has paid ₹164.50 crores to the tech company Infosys for the country's new Income Tax e-filing portal.

• The amount has been paid to the tech giant in installments between the period January 2019 to June 2021.

• "Since January 2019 till June 2021, the total amount paid to Infosys is ₹164.50 crore under this project," Mr. Chaudhary said in the written reply.
