Govt asks Indian citizens in Afghanistan to make immediate return to India

  • The Indian Government on Tuesday asked Indian citizens in Afghanistan to make immediate travel arrangements to get out of the violence-hit zone, before commercial air services are hit.

  • All Indian nationals visiting, staying and working in Afghanistan are strongly advised to keep themselves updated on the availability of commercial flights and make immediate arrangements to return to India before air services are discontinued." read the official statement.

  • It also asked the Indian companies operating in Afghanistan to withdraw their Indian employees from operations in the war-hit zone.

  • This comes as the violence is escalating between the Afghanistan troops and the Taliban, who refuse to withdraw from the zone.
