
Govt. Approves Capex Loans Worth ₹9880 Crores For 27 States
The Finance Ministry of India has released ₹9880 crores worth Capex loans for 27 states of India excluding Tamil Nadu.
The ministry has approved the loans as relief from the COVID-19 financial crisis under the Atma Nirbhar Bharat Abhiyan package.
Out of the total amount, the government had already released ₹4934 crores to the states.
The scheme has been divided into 3 parts.
According to the first part, ₹200 crores have been allocated to the 7 North-Eastern states of India i.e. Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya, Manipur, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim and Tripura. ₹450 crores have been allocated to Assam.
The second part of the scheme allocates ₹7500 crores for all the states that are not included in the first part.
The fourth part allocates ₹2000 crores for the states that have introduced at least three out of the four reforms specified by the finance ministry on May 17 about reform linked additional borrowing permissions.
