Govt approves a project to connect Haryana with Jewar Airport in UP

What: Union Minister Nitin Gadkari on Thursday announced that the government has approved the construction of road linking Haryana to the upcoming Jewar International Airport in Gautam Budh Nagar district of Uttar Pradesh under Bharatmala project with a budget of ₹2,414.67 crores.

Project: The construction period will be two years constructed on hybrid annuity mode with a total length of 31.425 kilometres and the project will connect Agra, Mathura and western UP, the minister added.

Construction of flyovers: The construction of two flyovers with total length of 2.5 kms at khusinagar, a place of Lord Buddha’s Parinirvan in UP, has also been sanctioned with a budget of ₹42.67 crore which will facilitate the arrival of domestic and foreign tourists and solve the problem of traffic jam.
