Govt. Allows Import Of Potatoes From Bhutan

• The government of India has allowed the import of potatoes from Bhutan up to 31st January 2021.

• Licensing restrictions have been removed by the government therefore no proper license for the imports is required.

• On Friday, a notification regarding this development was released by the Director General Of Foreign Trade (DGFT).

• The action has been taken to moderate the soaring prices of potatoes.

• In the market, the potatoes are being sold at a high price of ₹60 per Kg.
