The government has procured 487.92 lakh tonnes of paddy worth ₹92,121 crores at MSP from the farmers.
The informed data is up till December 31.
The procurement has been made by the government agency Food Corporation of India (FCI).
According to the agency, around 62.68 lakh farmers have been benefitted by the procurement program.
The government has also procured 75,03,914 cotton bales worth ₹21,989 crores.
"About 62.28 lakh farmers have already been benefitted from the ongoing KMS procurement operations with MSP value of Rs 92,120.85 crore," the agency said.
Last year during the corresponding period, the government had procured 390.56 lakh tonnes of paddy.
