Government Procures Paddy Worth ₹92,121 Crores At MSP Till Dec 31

  • The government has procured 487.92 lakh tonnes of paddy worth ₹92,121 crores at MSP from the farmers.

  • The informed data is up till December 31.

  • The procurement has been made by the government agency Food Corporation of India (FCI).

  • According to the agency, around 62.68 lakh farmers have been benefitted by the procurement program.

  • The government has also procured 75,03,914 cotton bales worth ₹21,989 crores.

  • "About 62.28 lakh farmers have already been benefitted from the ongoing KMS procurement operations with MSP value of Rs 92,120.85 crore," the agency said.

  • Last year during the corresponding period, the government had procured 390.56 lakh tonnes of paddy.
