The government has procured 69.24 akh tonnes of wheat worth nearly ₹14,000 crores at MSP from the farmers.
The informed data is up till April 17.
The procurement has been made by the government agency Food Corporation of India (FCI).
The procurement program has benefitted more than 5.86 lakh farmers.
Wheat MSP has been fixed at ₹2,015 per quintal.
"A quantity of 69.24 lakh tonnes of wheat has been procured up to April 17 benefitting 5.86 Lakh farmers with MSP value of Rs 13,951.41 crore," an official statement.
