German tourist arrested for killing dog in Croatia

• Police stated on Tuesday that a German tourist has been arrested for allegedly killing his dog with a hammer in Croatia.

• The man is also said to have damaged equipment and furniture in the police station upon getting arrested in the northern port of Rijeka.

• According to the statement issued by the police the man, who is said to be 51-years old was under the influence of alcohol during the incident and was also in possession of several grams of ketamine drugs.

• The man has been charged with property damage and drug abuse along with killing and torturing animals.
