On Tuesday, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman informed about the present status of Indian economy.
According to her, Indian GDP is recovering, but it is expected that this year the GDP will be in negative zone or near to zero. She also told that the major reason for this decline in GDP is the 23.9% contraction in the economy in the first quarter i.e. April-June period due to COVID-19 crisis.
She has also raised hopes for further recovery of economy in the festive season.
