Free temporary housing to be provided by Airbnb to Afghan refugees

• On Tuesday, Brian Chesky, the CEO of Airbnb announced the companies plans to offer free temporary housing to 20,000 Afghan refugees Around the globe.

• He further added that the company will also cover the costs for the housing.

• Chesky tweeted, “The displacement and resettlement of Afghan refugees in the U.S. and elsewhere is one of the biggest humanitarian crises of our time. We feel a responsibility to step up.” • During COVID-19, free or subsidised housing was provided to 100,000 healthcare workers by Airbnb.
