Former TRAI Chief receives benefits under PM-KISAN Yojana
An investigative report by The Quint found out that Former TRAI Chief and UIDAI Director General Ram Sewak Sharma’s bank account has money deposited via PM-KISAN Yojana.
According to The Quint Mr. Sharma in an email confirmed the fact that he had received three instalments of Rs 2,000 each. He said he had not registered for the Centre’s flagship PM-KISAN scheme and was “surprised” to find the money deposited into his account.
PM-KISAN is a centrally sponsored scheme aimed at proving monetary support to countryside most marginal farmers. However recent reports by The Quint showed that publicly available Aadhar numbers were used to avail benefits under the scheme in the name of some prominent personalities like Ritesh Deshmukh, ISI Spy Mehboob Akhtar.
