Former Haryana CM Bhupinder Hooda granted bail in industrial plot allotment case

  • In the industrial plot allotment issue, the PMLA special court in Panchkula granted routine bail to former Haryana chief minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda and 20 others on Monday.

  • The Compliance Directorate (ED) counsel presented related documents to defense counsel during the resumed hearing on Monday. Following that, defense counsel requested more time to review records, and the court set April 27 as the next trial date.

  • Last month, the ED filed a prosecution complaint (PC) against Haryana's opposition chief Bhupinder Singh Hooda and 20 others in connection with an alleged illegal industrial plot allotment, alleging violations of various parts of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA), 2002, before a special prosecutor.
