FIR against BJP Bengal leader stayed by SC

  • Today, the Supreme Court stayed the FIR against West Bengal BJP leader Kabir Shankar Bose, reportedly registered because of his personal rivalry with MP Kalyan Banerji of Trinamool Congress.

  • Sanjay Kishan Kaul, Dinesh Maheshwari and Hrishikesh Roy have sent a notice to the State of West Bengal and the West Bengal Police after reviewing the report submitted by the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF).

  • The apex court had previously ordered the Centre to record the CISF's special incident report on an alleged scuffle between Trinamool Congress employees and Kabir Shankar Bose's security personnel. The Bench has also requested the Centre to register the leader's movement logbook relating to the day of the incident in a sealed cover.
