What: The Opposition on Tuesday finalise a candidate for the Presidential polls to be held on July 18. Yashwant Sihna as been proposed as the joint candidate.
Context: It has been stated that the Trinamool Congress proposed his meeting as the Presidential candidate, and all 18 opposition parties approved it.
BJP's candidate: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), meanwhile, is set to hold its parliamentary board meeting in Delhi on Tuesday where it is likely to finalise its nominee for the poll.
Further: After the announcement of the move, Yashwant Sihna, resigned from the membership of TMC.
