Find out which country recently elected the youngest president in its history

• Chile’s most recently elected president, Gabriel Boric, will be sworn in March.

• This makes the 35-year-old the youngest leader in South America and the youngest president in modern Chilean history.

• Boric secured 56% of the votes against the ultra-conservative Josè Antonio Kast in Sunday’s election.

• Boric announced that sweeping changes will be made in the Chilean society, and campaigned on promises to dismantle the economic legacy of General Augusto Pinochet’s dictatorship in the 1970s and 80s.
