Find out which country is set to ban smoking

• It has been announced in New Zealand that smoking will be outlawed for its next generation, meaning that those who are 14 years old or under today will never be able to buy tobacco legally. • Associate Health Minister Dr. Ayesha Verrall stated on Thursday that the new legislation means the legal smoking age will increase every year in order to create a smoke-free generation of the citizens of the country.

• Several other measures have also been taken by the government including reducing the legal amount of nicotine in tobacco products to very low levels, cutting down the shops where cigarettes could be legally sold and increasing funding to addiction services.
