• Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi on Wednesday released the party's manifesto for the women of the state of Uttar Pradesh ahead of the legislative polls in early 2022.

• While releasing the manifesto, Priyanka Gandhi announced that this move was to empower women and ensure that they get their rights and what is rightfully due to them.

• The manifesto proposes 40% reservation in government jobs for females of the states. Businesses employing up to 50 per cent women will get tax exemption and assistance.

• Every girl studying in class 12th will receive a smartphone, according to the manifesto. Further, a scooty for every girl enrolled in undergraduate programmes.

• In addition, the manifesto proposes free travel for women in government-run buses.Three gas cylinders free of cost every year.

• In a bid to improve women's health, the manifesto also proposes free treatment of up to ₹10 lakh in government hospitals.
