• A huge cube of gold weighing 186 kilograms and pure 24-karat appeared this week in New York city’s Central Park.

• According to reports, German artist Niclas Castello is behind the creation of the cube and dropped the piece in the middle of the park to draw attention to a new cryptocoin as a publicity stunt.

• He described his artwork and said, “Never before in the history of humanity has such an enormous amount of gold been cast into a single, pure object. Gold- the eternal metal, symbol of the sun, of light, of the good”.

• He added that the idea was to create something that is beyond our world-that is intangible.
