• The ambitious National Security Advisors meet being organized by India has discussed several key issues related to the future of Afghanistan

• Although Pakistan and China have abstained from attending the meeting. However central Asian countries like Russia, Iran, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan and Tajikistan and Uzbekistan did attend the meet

• The participating nations stressed the need for collective cooperation against the menace of radicalization, extremism, separatism and drug trafficking in the region

• They also expressed concerns regarding the safety of the Afghans

• NSAs also stressed the need of ensuring a safe and secure Afghanistan that doesn't harbour terror groups. This has been primarily been raised because of the presence of members of several UN-designated terror groups
