Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal on Tuesday announced that every family that has lost one of it' member to Covid-19 will get an ex-gratia of ₹50,000.
in addition to this, those families which have lost their breadwinners of earning members to Covid will be eligible to get an additional amount of ₹2,500 as pension.
“We cannot compensate for the loss but we can help you in these difficult times. Every family which has lost someone to Covid will get an ex gratia amount of ₹50,000,” said CM Kejriwal.
He also added that children who have been orphaned- have lost both their parents to Covid, or have lost their single parent to Covid- will be given a pension of ₹2,500 per month till the age of 25 years and their education will be taken care of by the Delhi government.
In addition to this, free ration will also be given to all in the city- whether or not they have ration cards.
