Find out Delhi CM's decision regarding assistance to Delhites

  • Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal on Tuesday announced that every family that has lost one of it' member to Covid-19 will get an ex-gratia of ₹50,000.

  • in addition to this, those families which have lost their breadwinners of earning members to Covid will be eligible to get an additional amount of ₹2,500 as pension.

  • “We cannot compensate for the loss but we can help you in these difficult times. Every family which has lost someone to Covid will get an ex gratia amount of ₹50,000,” said CM Kejriwal.

  • He also added that children who have been orphaned- have lost both their parents to Covid, or have lost their single parent to Covid- will be given a pension of ₹2,500 per month till the age of 25 years and their education will be taken care of by the Delhi government.

  • In addition to this, free ration will also be given to all in the city- whether or not they have ration cards.
