
Find out about Japan’s vaccine policy
As per a bill passed on Wednesday, Japan will be giving out free coronavirus vaccines to all it’s residents.
The bill passed by the Upper house, after having been passed by the Lower house stated that the Government will bear the cost of the vaccine for all its 126 million citizens.
Japan’s government has already procured about 60 million vaccine from Pharma major Pfizer and another 25 million from Moderna.
Additionally, there is also a confirmation that the country will be receiving about another 120 million vaccine shots from AstraZenca.
All these measures come as the nation is battling a third wave of the coronavirus and the authorities are frequently warning citizens to take precautions.
