Farmer Unions reject Govt's stay proposal
Farmer Unions after a discussion of more than 8 hours yesterday decided to reject the government's proposal of staying the implementation of the farm laws for a period of 1.5 years.
The proposal for the stay on implementation was put forward by the Centre in the 10th round of talks held on January 20th, after which the unions had decided to ponder upon the proposal.
The centre is expected to come up and present the farm union leaders with a new proposal in today's meeting, scheduled for 2pm at Vigyan Bhavan.
Stay tuned for the meeting updates.
