Farmer org block roads in 18 states

• In a bid to increase the scale of their protests against the recently passed three farms laws by the Centre, different farmer organisations blocked roads and staged demonstrations at more than 2,500 locations across 18 states.

• The call for protests was given by All India Kisan Sangarsh Coordination Committee. They estimated that about 5 lakh farmers had participated in the protest demonstrations.

• The largest demonstrations were in the states of Punjab and Haryana where large farmer groups blocked National and State Highways till 4pm in the evening. All the protests were peaceful.
