The Enforcement Directorate has summoned actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan to question the 2016 ‘Panama Papers’ leaks.
The agency summoned the actor to Delhi.
As per the sources available to the Enforcement Directorate, Amic Partners in the British Virgin Island in 2004 had the actress as the director. The Law firm Mossack Fonseca confirmed payment of $50,000.
The actor left the firm in 2009 after Dubai-based BKR Adonis acquired it.
The ED probed the case since 2016, and the agency has already issued notices to the Bachchan family to explain their foreign remittances since 2004.
The actress has already submitted records on her foreign payments to the agency.
