Onkar MehraECI allows mediapersons to cast votes through postal ballot in Punjab
On Sunday, the Election Commission of India (ECI) allowed journalista and mediapersons to cast their votes through postal ballot in the upcoming Punjab elections.
The voting for 117 assembly seats will be conducted on February 14 in the state.
An official statement was released by the office of Punjab chief electoral officer.
"Mediapersons, during a press conference, had asked Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Punjab Dr S Karuna Raju to include them in absentee voters so that they can cast their votes using the postal ballot facility," the statement said.
