Due to COVID rise, Patna and J-K High Court suspends physical hearing till April 17, 18 respectively

• On Monday, Chief Justice Pankaj Mithal of the Jammu and Kashmir High Court, citing a surge in COVID-19 cases, ordered the suspension of physical hearings in both wings of the High Court, as well as district and subordinate courts and tribunals, until April 18.

• The order will also apply in Ladakh, a union territory that comes under the jurisdiction of the Jammu and Kashmir High Court.

• However, the three-page order stated that, in addition to the simulated trial, the matters could be brought up for physical hearing if both parties' counsel agree.
