Due to COVID rise, Patna and J-K High Court suspends physical hearing till April 17, 18 respectively
On Monday, Chief Justice Pankaj Mithal of the Jammu and Kashmir High Court, citing a surge in COVID-19 cases, ordered the suspension of physical hearings in both wings of the High Court, as well as district and subordinate courts and tribunals, until April 18.
The order will also apply in Ladakh, a union territory that comes under the jurisdiction of the Jammu and Kashmir High Court.
However, the three-page order stated that, in addition to the simulated trial, the matters could be brought up for physical hearing if both parties' counsel agree.
