Diesel & petrol prices cross ₹100 mark in many states; prices continue to rise

On Friday, the prices of petrol and diesel hit all-time high rates thereby creating a new record. Both the diesel and petrol prices soared by 30 paise per litre and 25 paise per litre respectively. In the international markets, the crude oil prices have soared and currently stand at $78 per barrel. In many states like Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Rajasthan, Mumbai, Delhi, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Nagaland ,the diesel and petrol prices have crossed ₹100-mark.

After the rise, the revised rates of several states are as follow:-

Delhi

Petrol- ₹101.80 per litre

Diesel- ₹90.17 per litre

Mumbai

Petrol- ₹107.90 per litre

Diesel- ₹97.84 per litre

Kolkata

Petrol- ₹102.40 per litre

Diesel- ₹93.27 per litre

Chennai

Petrol- ₹99.58 per litre

Diesel- ₹94.74 per litre
