• In a bid to find the origins of Coronavirus, the World Health Organisation (WHO) has sought permission from China in order to conduct the second round of investigation.

• China reportedly has denied the permission saying that it defies science. “We will not accept such an origins-tracing plan as it, in some aspects, disregards common sense and defies science," Zeng Yixin, vice minister of the National Health Commission (NHC), told reporters.

• Notably the hypothesis of WHO request rests on the premise that Chinese laboratory protocols might have been violated which would have resulted in the leak.

• Further it proposed an audit of laboratories and markets in the city of Wuhan, calling for transparency from authorities.
