DGCA clears Boeing 737 Max for flight
On Thursday, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) lifted the ban on the flying of Boeing 737 Max aircraft.
Nearly two and a half years ago, DGCA banned the flying of aircraft due to technical reasons.
This decision will provide maximum relief to Spicejet as the company owns 13 planes of this variant.
Around 175 countries have allowed the 737 MAX to return to service following a safety ban, with 30 airlines already restarting their MAX aircraft services.
China is one of the countries that has not lifted the ban on the flying of Boeing 737 Max.
