Deshbhakti curriculum introduced in Delhi govt schools from today

  • Ruling Aam Aadmi Party, led by Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal rolled out it's 'Deshbhakti curriculum' in Delhi government schools on September 28.

  • The aim behind this move has been stated as of instilling patriotism among students and inspiring them to feel proud for their nation.

  • The curriculum is being rolled out for all classes-nursery to class 12. The curriculum was launched yesterday to mark the birth anniversary of Shaheed Bhagat Singh.

  • The deshbhakti curriculum mandates one period every day for patriotism studies for students in the nursery to class 8, and two classes per week – not on consequent days – for senior students of classes 9 to 12.

  • As per the specifics, every class will start with a five minute duration of 'Deshbhakti Dhyaan'- referring to students and teachers practising mindfulness and reflect on their gratitude for the country.
