Deshbhakti curriculum introduced in Delhi govt schools from today
Ruling Aam Aadmi Party, led by Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal rolled out it's 'Deshbhakti curriculum' in Delhi government schools on September 28.
The aim behind this move has been stated as of instilling patriotism among students and inspiring them to feel proud for their nation.
The curriculum is being rolled out for all classes-nursery to class 12. The curriculum was launched yesterday to mark the birth anniversary of Shaheed Bhagat Singh.
The deshbhakti curriculum mandates one period every day for patriotism studies for students in the nursery to class 8, and two classes per week – not on consequent days – for senior students of classes 9 to 12.
As per the specifics, every class will start with a five minute duration of 'Deshbhakti Dhyaan'- referring to students and teachers practising mindfulness and reflect on their gratitude for the country.
