Delhi Chief Minister on Thursday announced that the fine for not wearing a mask in public places has now been increased to Rs.2000, from the earlier Rs.500.
This step was taken with an intention to control the surge of the Covid-19 cases in the capital. He further urged religious leaders and administrative officials to make sure that all the devotees in relgious places and workers in the offices are wearing a mask at all times.
Further, taken into consideration the increasing coronavirus cases, Ahmedabad has imposed a night curfew from 9pm to 6am. The curfew will come into effect from Friday and will stay on indefinitely till the next notification.
The city reported 46,022 cases till yesterday and has also reserved 40% of the beds in the hospitals for the coronavirus patients.
