In a defamation case against his supposed scorpion on shivling remarks relating to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Delhi High Court stayed criminal proceedings against Congress chief Shashi Tharoor Friday.
On Tharoor's plea challenging the summons issued against him by the trial court in the defamation case, Justice Suresh Kumar Kait issued a notice and sought the reply of the petitioner, BJP chief Rajiv Babbar.
On December 9, the high court cited the matter for further hearing.
