Delhi HC: Interim orders extended till September 24

  • The validity of Interim Orders has been extended till September 24, 2021, by a three-judge bench of the Delhi High Court, consisting of Justice Mr. Vipin Sanghi, Justice Rekha Palli, and Justice Talwant Singh (Suo Motu v. State of Delhi).

  • It is further disclosed that the Supreme Court, in the proceedings are pending before it, has directed that the prisoners – who have been released from jail on account of Covid-19 pandemic, and are on bail, shall not be required to surrender. In the light of the aforesaid, we adjourn the matter to 24.09.2021.”- The Bench

  • The Bench notes that the bail orders will continue to be in effect until this Court issues additional orders regarding interim bail/stay extension.

  • In light of the COVID-19 epidemic, the Bench has extended the life of all interim orders pending before all of its benches and subordinate courts in the national capital.

  • The Court set the next hearing date for September 24, 2021.
