While presenting "Desh Bhakti Budget", Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi Manish Sisodia has announced to increase the Per Capita Income (PCI) of Delhi to the level of Singapore by 2047.
The government has allocated ₹69,000 crores for the budget of Financial Year 2021-22. The government aims to reform almost every sector like education, housing, healthcare and economy.
The government also aims to invest 37,800 crores or 55% of the budget in subsidy schemes and social welfare programmes.
"Under previous governments in Delhi, establishment costs used to be around 70-80 per cent. In our budget, establishment costs are only 45 per cent which means 55 per cent of it can be redirected towards subsidy schemes and programs such as social security and other pro-people measures," Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said.
