As the coronavirus cases continue to surge in the National Capital forcing repeated lockdowns, the Delhi Government on Tuesday announced to provide free ration to all ration card holders in the city for the next two months.
The total number of ration card holders in the city number about 72 lakh people. These people will be getting the benefit of the annoucement made today by the Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal.
CM Kejriwal further announced that financial benefit of about ₹5000 will be provided to all autorickshaw drivers and taxi drivers in the capital, to help them in the period of financial crisis- when businesses have taken a toll.
In addition to this, the Delhi Government also announced that it has already disbursed ₹5000 financial support in the accounts of construction workers registered under Delhi Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board, last week.
