Delhi Court denies bail to suspect in Jantar-Mantar Hate Sloganeering Case

  • One of the key organizers of an event at Jantar Mantar where communal slogans were reportedly yelled was denied bail by a Delhi court. It was observed that he not only volunteered to organize the gathering, but also reportedly actively participated and supported the attendees' provocative statements by acknowledging and approving them with gestures and intermittent clapping.

  • The court dismissed Preet Singh's bail plea, saying that given his status, he should have utilized his power and stopped the participants from voicing such incendiary ideas in the broader interest of the public/committee welfare.
