In a major move on Monday morning, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal visited the farmer's protest site at Singhu border to review the arrangements made for the protesting farmers at the border.
With this visit, Mr.Kejwriwal became the first Chief Minister of any state to publicly visit the farmers' protests and express the party's support for their agitation.
Arvind Kejriwal visited the site along with his cabinet ministers and while addressing the press, stated- "We support all demands of farmers. My party and I have stood with them from the very beginning. At the beginning of their protests, Delhi Police had sought permission to convert nine stadiums into jails. I was pressurised but didn't permit."
Delhi CM and his party, the Aam Aadmi Party have also expressed their support for the December 8 Bharat Bandh call by the farmers' unions.
