Delhi CM seeks closure of markets emerging as Covid-19 hotspots

  • Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Tuesday stated that his government has asked for Centre’s approval on the proposal to seek the closure of certain market areas that are emerging as the Covid-19 hotspots.

  • In a press conference he stated that the state government could close certain markets for a few days where social distancing norms weren’t being followed.

  • Further, the Delhi government has also sent a proposal to the LG regarding reducing the permit level of persons from 200 to 50, amidst the rising cases.

  • He also thanked the Centre for providing the capital with 750 ICU beds. And urged the citizens to follow the required guidelines and precautions.
