Defence Ministry To Make Acquisitions Worth ₹28,000 Crores

  • On Thursday, the Defence Ministry of India informed that the Defence Acquisition Council (DAC) has approved the acquisitions worth ₹28000 crores.

  • From the total amount, ₹27000 crores will be sourced from private industries.

  • Defence Minister Rajnath Singh chaired the DAC meeting in which 5 more cases valued at ₹25,000 crores were approved.

  • The Finance Ministry of India informed about the news through tweets.

  • "Five cases valued at ₹25000 Crore are approved under indigenous design development and manufacture category. Particularly noteworthy are the Defence Research and Development Organisation designed and developed Airborne Early Warning and Control Systems for the Air Force and modular bridges for the Army," the ministry tweeted.
