On Saturday, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal announced that due to the shortage of COVID-19 vaccine doses, the vaccination process for the people belonging to the age group of 18-44 will be shut.
Mr. Kejriwal has also written a letter to PM Modi asking for immediate supply of doses and to increase the quota of vaccines for the state.
The state has been receiving 8 lakh doses a month.
"With this speed of 8 lakh doses per month, it will take 30 months to vaccinate all the adults alone. By then, no one knows how many waves will arrive and how many deaths will occur," Kejriwal said.
