Court discharges six persons held under the 2020 Delhi Riot Case, citing no CCTV Footage was placed

  • Six people have been released from the 2020 riot case in the national capital, according to a Delhi court.

  • Amir, Saddam, Mohd. Rahis, Amir, Akram, and Wasim have all been released by the Curt. According to the report, the FIR was filed under IPC Sections 147, 148, 149, 436, and 427.

  • Earlier in the day, a Delhi court acquitted four individuals in the North East Delhi riot case, stating that their identification as rioters who looted and set fire to the complainant's home was very improbable.

  • Dinesh Yadav, Tinku, Sahil, and Sandeep were acquitted by Additional Sessions Judge Virender Bhat in a case involving robbing, vandalising, and setting a house and shop on fire in the Bhagirathi Vihar district during the capital's riots on February 26, 2020.
