Counter 'one-sided' international narrative of India's pandemic failure, EAM to diplomats

• In a virtual meeting with the Indian diplomats and ambassadors posted across the world, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar asked them to counter the one sided world media narrative of Indian government having failed the Pandemic.

• The meeting came in view of many critical articles published in international media like New York Times, Guardian, Le Monde and coverage on TV channels- which blamed PM Modi and his government for having ignored warning signals.

• The official context of the meeting on Thursday, however, was arranging for India's medical supplies, medical oxygen supplies, vaccines- as stated by the officials present during the meeting.
