Convict who broke out of prison to visit family turns himself in after 10 days

• Jahir Hussain, who is serving a life sentence at a high security prison, broke out.

• It has been said that the 48-year-old was missing his family, who had not come to visit him in years.

• Hussain, who has been in prison since 2009, ran away from Poojapura Central Prison in Tamil Nadu on 7th of September.

• A massive manhunt has been launched by the police and the prison department to catch the convict, but they were unsuccessful in doing so.

• It was on 17th September that Hussain came to a district court with his family and turned himself in.

• Hussain told the police that he ran away because he wanted to just spend time with his family.
