Former Punjab chief minister Captain Amarinder Singh has been criticised by the Congress for saying that if the Centre repeals the disputed farm rules, he will not only form a regional party but may also contemplate working with the BJP.
"His (Singh's) statement is really shocking. It seems he has killed the 'secular Amarinder' within him.....Who can forgive the BJP that has kept farmers at the borders for 10 months? Can Punjab forgive them for the manner in which farmers' agitation has been dealt with?", AICC general secretary and Punjab in-charge Harish Rawat said on Wednesday.
