Congress delegation meets Bihar Governor over Munger firing incident

  • A Congress party delegation led by Senior Congress leader Rajdeep Sujrewala met the Governor of Bihar on Friday over the Munger firing incident and demanded for the immediate suspension of the Bihar CM Nitish Kumar and the Deputy CM Sushil Modi.

  • The party delegation also made a strong demand for a compensation of Rs. 50 lakh for the family of the person who was killed in the firing incident at Munger, Bihar.

  • The firing took place after the police fired as a result of the violence that erupted during the immersion procession of Goddess Durga.

  • Meanwhile, senior leader of the Shiv Sena, Sanjay Raut also said that the Munger incident was an attack on Hindutva and questioned as to why was BJP silent about this issue.
